Asset Editor
The OwnXR Asset Editor is located at the /editor, where users access, create and modify their assets as Objects (3D models), Environments (high or low-range skybox images) or Splats (Gaussian splats).
If your active scope is Personal, you will list, create, modify and delete the assets you have created under your personal account. If active scope is of an Enterprise, your actions will reflect to all members of that enterprise.
Getting Started
Access the Asset Editor at /editor or click the "Editor" tab in the navigation. Here, you can list, sort, and search your assets, as well as create new ones and delete existing ones.
Assets are displayed under the search bar as shown in here.
Functionality
List, search, sort and share
Quickly find your assets by typing part of a name or tags in the search bar, and sort them using the drop-down menu. All assets will be listed if no search string is provided. You can share the asset by clicking on the
(share) icon.Preview and details
Click on the asset thumbnail or
PREVIEW button to show more information and a preview alongside the asset list. You can switch between available versions of an asset and reset using the (reset) button.Create assets
Hit Create new button at the side of the search bar to upload a 3D model or an environment map as a new asset. All assets are automatically optimized for web performance, without sacrificing visual and functional quality. See more at Creating Assets .
Edit existing assets
Click on the asset title or
EDIT button to open a new OwnXR Editor application in a new tab, where you can fully view the asset, change transformation, and customize materials. Another feature of OwnXR Editor is asset versions, which are the preconfigured transformations and customizations. This is very powerful for scenes that use multiples of the same asset with slight changes.Removing assets
Click on the
button to reveal the Remove Asset button. The assets will still remain in the scenes that they are used. However, they will be unavailable at/editor page or the asset library in OXR application.
